Following your success in passing Part 3 and qualifying as
an Approved Driving Instructor you will be expected to take
a check test by the DSA.
The
check test is to assess your continued ability and fitness
to give instruction as a registered Approved Driving Instructor.
You will be required to take a test usually within one year
of qualification and at intervals thereafter determined by
the Grade you attained. You may also undergo an educational
visit, normally within 6 months of qualifying, where you will
not be graded but any weaknesses in your instruction will
be pointed out and will be your responsibility to correct
them prior to your first full check test.
When
you take your first check test, should you fail to meet the
required standard, (minimum Grade 4), you will be required
to take a second check test within a certain time limit. If
you fail to meet the requested standard for the second time,
you will then have only one other check test and only one
more opportunity to keep your ADI license and registration.
The third and final check test is normally carried out by
an Assistant Chief Driving Examiner (ACDE) and failure to
meet the required standard could result in your ADI license
being revoked subject to an appeal and therefore placing your
livelihood under threat.
My
track record speaks for itself. Please read the case
studies page.
