Driving
Instruction Courses are tailored to suit individual requirements
and all instruction is given on a one pupil per instructor
basis. This ensures pupils do not pay for lessons in excess
of their requirements and do not endure embarrassment in the
presence of peers.
Training
is available for all parts of the Department of Transport
Approved Driving Instructor Examinations. Revision lessons
in readiness for Tests of continued ability and fitness to
give instruction (Check Tests), are also available.
The address
at the foot of this page is the venue for all lessons unless
alternative arrangements have previously been agreed. The
duration of all lessons is two hours unless longer periods
have been booked. Instruction is charged at £30.00 per
hour for the initial assessments and and part two training
(60.00 for two hour lessons) and £35.00 per hour for
part three training and check test upgrade training (£70
for two hour lessons). If lessons are cancelled with less
than 48 hours notice and can not be rebooked, then a charge
for the lesson may be required, or alternatively, any future
lessons will not be reserved.
An initial
assessment will be made of every pupil’s requirements
regardless of which course they intend to take. This enables
the instructor to begin instruction at the correct level and
will give the pupil an idea of the eventual cost involved.
Part 1
pupils are advised to purchase an ADI14 from the DSA and ‘home
study’ for the exam.
Part 2
and Part 3 pupils will also receive a structured course and
all their lessons will be on the road. Explanation Demonstration
Practise will be used throughout each exercise before pupils
move onto Fault Correction.
In the
unlikely event of a pupil being dissatisfied in any way, their
correction will be evaluated and appropriate action taken.
